Triangle Midwives is a practice of eight Certified Nurse-Midwives who care for and support the health care needs of women in the Triangle area. We are a cohesive and experienced group of professionals who work together to address the complete healthcare needs of our patients.
Although Certified Nurse-Midwives are known for offering expert pregnancy care, they also offer a range of gynecologic services to women of all ages. An overview of these services is listed below.
- Routine annual exams
- Cervical cancer screening (pap smear testing)
- Contraception counseling and prescriptions
- Breast health exams
- Mammogram referrals
- Evaluation and treatment of common women’s health care concerns, including vaginal infections, irregular menstrual patterns, urinary tract infections, and pelvic pain
- Sexually transmitted infection screening and treatment
- Gardasil vaccinations
- Primary care
Certified Nurse-Midwives are advanced practice registered nurses who have completed a formal training program focusing on taking care of the healthcare needs of women throughout the lifespan. All of our nurse-midwives have graduate degrees, have passed a national certification exam, and are certified through the American Midwifery Certification Board. We work collaboratively with the doctors at TP4W in order to provide our patients with a team approach to comprehensive care.
